Block PointsBet with Fold’em
- Get Fold’em and finish setup. Setup asks you to turn on site blocking and to check your phone for gambling apps, and you can do either later in the Lock tab.
- Turn on site blocking. If you skipped it in setup, tap the pill on Lock, then Sites, then Set up, and Fold’em walks you through the four taps in Settings. While it is on, the Sites page counts the gambling sites blocked in every browser and app.
- Add the app. Tap the pill on Lock, then Apps, then Add apps, and pick PointsBet in Apple’s picker.
What Fold’em covers, layer by layer

In Safari, and in the app
On 1 September 2026 the web shield’s resolver, dns.foldem.app, answered pointsbet.com and pointsbet.com.au with 0.0.0.0, the address for nowhere, so those pages never load in Safari, in Chrome, in Firefox or inside any other app on this phone. Switch the DNS setting off and every answer for pointsbet.com and pointsbet.com.au is a real address again, so the setting is half of what makes this true.
Screen Time is handed a ten site list of its own, and pointsbet.com is on it. That is a different layer with a different picture: it reaches Safari and no other browser, and what Safari puts on the screen is Apple's own restricted site page rather than Fold’em’s block screen.
Fold’em’s own block screen is a third thing and it is neither of the first two: it lands over the apps you chose, over a website you added in Apple’s picker and over the Games category if you turned Games on, and a Lockdown run you start can close every app except Phone and the ones you keep.
Their own self exclusion tools
PointsBet calls its limits pre commitment limits. A deposit limit and a spend limit each run over a rolling 1, 7, 14 or 30 days, so the window moves with you rather than resetting on a calendar. A reduction takes effect at once and a request to raise or remove one carries a 7 day cooling off period. Take a Break shuts the site to you for 3, 7 or 30 days, after which the account reopens by itself, and a self exclusion cannot be undone at any point while it runs.
Their page is plain about the edge of all this. It states that a break or an exclusion set with PointsBet applies to PointsBet alone and not to other licensed operators, and it recommends installing software on the device to stop gambling sites being reached at all.
That last recommendation is the layer Fold’em is. Their tools end at their account and Fold’em ends at this iPhone.

What this does not do
Fold’em runs on this iPhone and nowhere else: it does not reach a second phone, a laptop, a shop or cash, and it cannot stop an account being opened. This page says nothing about any PointsBet domain it did not measure. The resolver's list is compiled from public gambling lists that change, so 1 September 2026 is the bound on every answer on this page.
