What happens if I stop paying?

Protection needs two things at once: an active subscription and protection that is still running. Lose the subscription and the phone stops being entitled, so a 72 hour lapse window opens on the server; when it runs out the server releases the shields, whatever you committed to. If you have a keyholder or supporters, they are told your protection is ending, because the news starts from Apple's own notification to our server, so a lapse reaches them even if your phone never checks in again. Renewing inside the window closes it and nothing is released.

How does the invite code work?

Every subscriber gets one eight character code, and anyone who enters it before buying gets their first month free instead of the usual 7 day trial.

What data does Fold’em keep?

Fold’em keeps the minimum a server needs to hold your lock: your Apple sign in identifier, your protection and the day it started, how many things you blocked as counts, periodic readings saying whether protection is still on, and, if you have one, your keyholder's arrangement.

Which notifications does Fold’em send?

Some come from Fold’em’s server, some come from people in your circle through it, and some come from your own phone. Settings › Notifications has a master switch and a switch for each kind of news from your people: Encouragement, Reminders, Milestones and Protection ending. Requests have no switch and read Always, because each asks you to act. Every notification is display only: none of them can change your block, and unless you have allowed more they arrive quietly, in Notification Center, with no sound and no banner.
