Block ESPN BET with Fold’em
- Get Fold’em and finish setup. Setup asks you to turn on site blocking and to check your phone for gambling apps, and you can do either later in the Lock tab.
- Turn on site blocking. If you skipped it in setup, tap the pill on Lock, then Sites, then Set up, and Fold’em walks you through the four taps in Settings. While it is on, the Sites page counts the gambling sites blocked in every browser and app.
- Add the app. Tap the pill on Lock, then Apps, then Add apps, and pick ESPN BET in Apple’s picker.

In Safari, and in the app
On 1 September 2026 the web shield’s resolver, dns.foldem.app, answered espnbet.com with 0.0.0.0, the address for nowhere, so that page never loads in Safari, in Chrome, in Firefox or inside any other app on this phone. Switch the DNS setting off and every answer for espnbet.com is a real address again, so the setting is half of what makes this true.
Screen Time is handed a ten site list of its own, and espnbet.com is on it. That is a different layer with a different picture: it reaches Safari and no other browser, and what Safari puts on the screen is Apple's own restricted site page rather than Fold’em’s block screen.
Fold’em’s own block screen is a third thing and it is neither of the first two: it lands over the apps you chose, over a website you added in Apple’s picker and over the Games category if you turned Games on, and a Lockdown run you start can close every app except Phone and the ones you keep.
Their own self exclusion tools
ESPN BET builds its controls into the account. A daily time limit logs you out for the rest of the day once it is reached, and deposit, spend and loss limits each run over a day, a week or a month. Lowering any of those takes effect at once, and a limit can only be raised once per period.
A cool off runs from 72 hours to one year and bars every bet and every deposit until it ends. Disable Casino is a separate switch that shuts the Hollywood Casino inside the ESPN BET app, from three days up to permanently, while sports wagering carries on. Self exclusion is longer again and its lengths vary by state.
Each of those closes one account and leaves the phone open. Fold’em does the opposite, so a cool off and a Fold’em seal can run at once and neither ends the other.

What this does not do
Fold’em runs on this iPhone and nowhere else: it does not reach a second phone, a laptop, a shop or cash, and it cannot stop an account being opened. This page says nothing about any ESPN BET domain it did not measure. The resolver's list is compiled from public gambling lists that change, so 1 September 2026 is the bound on every answer on this page.
