Block Global Poker on iPhone

Fold’em blocks globalpoker.com in every browser on your iPhone while the web shield is on, and the Global Poker app once you choose it in Apple’s picker.

Fold’em is an app that blocks gambling apps and betting sites on one iPhone, and it has no end date: protection runs until it is ended.

Block Global Poker with Fold’em

  1. Get Fold’em and finish setup. Setup asks you to turn on site blocking and to check your phone for gambling apps, and you can do either later in the Lock tab.
  2. Turn on site blocking. If you skipped it in setup, tap the pill on Lock, then Sites, then Set up, and Fold’em walks you through the four taps in Settings. While it is on, the Sites page counts the gambling sites blocked in every browser and app.
  3. Add the app. Tap the pill on Lock, then Apps, then Add apps, and pick Global Poker in Apple’s picker.

What Fold’em covers, layer by layer

One site for Global Poker, measured on 1 September 2026 against the list Fold’em hands to Screen Time and the live resolver at dns.foldem.app.

In Safari, and in the app

On 1 September 2026 the web shield’s resolver, dns.foldem.app, answered globalpoker.com with 0.0.0.0, the address for nowhere, so that page never loads in Safari, in Chrome, in Firefox or inside any other app on this phone. Switch the DNS setting off and every answer for globalpoker.com is a real address again, so the setting is half of what makes this true.

The list Fold’em hands to Screen Time is ten domains long and no Global Poker domain is on it, so that layer adds nothing here. In a browser Global Poker is covered by the web shield above, and by nothing else.

Fold’em’s own block screen is a third thing and it is neither of the first two: it lands over the apps you chose, over a website you added in Apple’s picker and over the Games category if you turned Games on, and a Lockdown run you start can close every app except Phone and the ones you keep.

Their own self exclusion tools

Global Poker publishes its controls as a policy document rather than a settings page. A purchase limit caps Gold Coin purchases over 1, 7 or 30 days; a decrease is immediate and an increase or a removal waits 72 hours. An activity reminder interrupts play every hour to show how long the session has run.

Take a Break covers poker only, casino only or all games, for 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days, and cannot be ended early. Self exclusion runs 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or 5 years, or indefinitely, and an indefinite one needs 6 months to pass before it can be asked about. The policy is explicit that both apply only to the site they were set on, not to sister sites.

That policy itself recommends filtering software on the device. Fold’em is that layer for the account holder, blocking globalpoker.com and the Global Poker app on this iPhone, which no per site exclusion does.

How the web shield stops a betting site A browser asks for a betting address. The question goes to dns.foldem.app, the resolver you set once on the phone. The resolver answers 0.0.0.0, the address for nowhere, so the page never loads and the site itself is never reached. There is no tunnel, and the resolver sees the names your phone looks up, never the pages you open. It blocks known gambling domains across every browser on this phone. THE RESOLVER, FOR EVERY APP globalpoker.com where? 0.0.0.0 dns.foldem.app one setting Never reached The page never loads 0.0.0.0 is the address for nowhere. No tunnel. It sees the names your phone looks up, never the pages you open.
Every lookup on the phone goes to dns.foldem.app, which answers a betting domain with 0.0.0.0, the address for nowhere, so the page never loads. There is no tunnel, and it blocks known gambling domains across every browser on this phone.

What this does not do

Fold’em runs on this iPhone and nowhere else: it does not reach a second phone, a laptop, a shop or cash, and it cannot stop an account being opened. This page says nothing about any Global Poker domain it did not measure. The resolver's list is compiled from public gambling lists that change, so 1 September 2026 is the bound on every answer on this page.
