I did not get an email
Updated September 2026
Every Fold'em email comes from hello@foldem.app, so check spam and trash first, and on Gmail the Promotions tab. The accept page says the same thing under its code boxes. If it is the six digit code you are waiting for, Send it again sits there too. If it is your pass or your link, ask the person you hold for to resend your access from inside their app.
One sender, and where it lands
Every letter Fold'em sends a keyholder comes from the same address, hello@foldem.app. The accept page prints that address itself, next to Check spam or trash, which is the same first move this page asks for.
Fold'em never sends a text message, to anyone, for anything. If you gave a phone number when you accepted, it is shown to the person you hold for so they can reach you quickly, and it is used for nothing else. So an email is the only channel a missing message can have arrived on.
Which letter is missing, because the fix differs
Two letters can be the one that is missing, and each has its own sender and its own resend.
The six digit code is sent when you type your address into the accept page, and it is valid for ten minutes. Its resend lives on that page, under the code boxes: go back to the invite link you were sent and use Send it again. Each send replaces the stored code, so the one you were waiting for stops working the moment a new one is sent, and there is a cap on how many a link may send in a day.
Your pass or your status link is emailed when you finish accepting, and after that whenever the person you hold for resends your access. Its resend lives in their app, not on any page you can reach: Circle, then your name, then Resend keyholder access. It cannot be sent to a different address than the one they nominated, and that is deliberate.
Working through it
-
Search rather than scroll
Search your whole mailbox for
hello@foldem.app, with spam and trash included in the search. Every letter Fold'em sends a keyholder carries that one address, so one search covers all of them. -
If it is the code, resend from the page
The Not seeing it panel on step 2 names the sender and carries Send it again. The code boxes above it accept an autofill suggestion on an iPhone, so the code often fills with one tap once it lands.

Where the code resends from
-
If it is your access, ask them
Their resend is limited to once an hour and three times a day, and their app tells them when it refuses rather than pretending it sent. A resend also invalidates whatever you were holding before, so use the newest letter.
-
Check the address is the one they used
If the address they nominated has a typo in it, no resend can help, because nothing can be sent to a new address on request. The route there is for them to remove you and invite the correct address again.
Which emails you should expect at all
Email is a narrow, guaranteed floor rather than a feed. Four integrity events always reach it: an early exit request opening, protection going off, a phone that has stopped confirming its blocks, and a lapsed subscription. A milestone day also arrives by email, and one closing letter if they end their account.
Quieter events do not. An all clear, an extended term, a busy stretch of blocked attempts and a change to which alerts fire all ride the Wallet pass alone, which is why they never appear in your inbox and their absence is not a delivery failure. A keyholder with no pass simply does not get those, by design.
What this does not do
None of this changes which letters are sent. There is no subscription setting for a keyholder anywhere, because which optional alerts fire is the user's own setting in their own app.
A missing email is also never a reason to worry about their protection on its own. The pass and the status page report the same state independently, so if either one reads Protected, the blocks were confirmed regardless of what your inbox did.
