What does Fold'em cost?

Three plans, one job

Fold'em sells three plans and an invite variant of each, six auto renewing subscriptions in all and no other kind of product. They are 1 month, 3 months and 12 months. The variant is the one a redeemed invite code switches the paywall to; it bills the same amount as its twin and carries an introductory offer of its own, and you are shown one trio or the other and never all six. In the United States the approved prices are $9.99, $24.99 and $49.99; everywhere else the paywall prints the price Apple returns for your own store and currency, which is the only price that is ever charged. The longer plans carry a per month discount, and the paywall states each one as a saving against paying for 1 month over and over: 17 percent on the 3 month plan and 58 percent on the 12 month plan. A saving that is not positive is not printed at all.

Beside each plan the paywall prints a daily estimate, worked out from that same localized price, so a plan can be compared to what a single bet costs. There is no free tier, no one off purchase and no lifetime plan. Family Sharing is off on all three, so a subscription covers the Apple ID that bought it.

The plan is not the term

This is the distinction people ask about most, and the product keeps the two apart on purpose. Your commitment is how long the blocking holds: either an ongoing commitment with no scheduled end, or a fixed one that ends on a calendar date you pick at least a month out. Your plan is how often Apple charges you. They are chosen on different screens and they do not talk to each other. Buying twelve months does not commit you for twelve months, and buying one month does not release you after one.

Billing therefore cannot become an exit. Switching plan, cancelling renewal or letting a charge fail never creates, shortens, extends or releases a commitment; the only thing the subscription controls is whether the app is entitled to keep enforcing at all, which is a separate mechanism with its own 72 hour lapse window and its own article.

What this does not do

Fold'em never sees or holds a card number: Apple takes the payment and tells the app only whether a subscription is active. The price on this page is the approved United States figure and is not a quote for another country; the paywall and the App Store are the only places a price is authoritative. Buying a plan does not choose your commitment, and no plan is long enough to be one. There is no paid button anywhere in Fold'em that ends a block early, at any price.
